Oscar Worthy!

Calvin Klein
With the Oscars barely 2 hours old, we're already seeing and hearing the buzz on who killed it, and/ or which celebrity stylist should be killed!  Although the show itself had a lot to be desired for, there were a few standouts that deserve a mention.  Here are my favorites.  Hope you agree! xoxo

The "X" factor!

There's a new "it" girl in town, Elisa Sednaoui is making her mark through the streets of New York City.  Many of you may not know who she is, but you will.  She has graced many magazine covers, including Elle Italia and Vogue Italia and has nabbed her share of big campaigns such as, DVF, Moschino and Hogan, just to name a few.  As of late you can catch her in the March issue of American BAZAAR.  She gives some insight into her personal style from her incredibly stylish New York apartment.  Hope you like! xoxo

Week in Review...

Michael Kors
New York fashion week has come to a close.  All in all looks were very wearable and feminine.  Some of the standout trends were nude neutrals to black sophistication.  What gave some dramatic variation was the pop of color thrown into the mix.  Reds, greens and purples are safe wardrobe additions.  London Fashion week is up next, I'm looking forward to the edgier vibe.  xoxo

NY Fashion Week!

New York fashion week is in full swing.  To date we've seen some amazing shows from Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, and The Row just to name a few.  Although I feel it's way to early to start talking about fall again, I will say we're seeing a consistent trend in big flowing pants.  For spring the return of the 70's bell bottom is huge and that trend will continue for fall 2011.

Along with the beautiful shows that have been presented, there are some amazing fashions worn by the editors, stylists and socialites attending them.  Fashion today is a free for all and I love the individual expression it brings.  Here are just a few of the standouts.  xoxo

V day...D day!

Valentines Day....Hmmm, this is one of those holidays that sometimes makes me cringe.  I know, I know you girls probably don't agree, but hear me out.  This day can hold a lot of expectations that sometimes don't get met.  Inevitably feelings get hurt, people don't feel appreciated or the single girl feels depressed because "nobody loves me".  As much as I like, in theory, sweethearts day, I much prefer to be loved everyday.  If not by someone else, then definitely by me.  So I tell you girls, love yourselves, love your guys (or gals) and love life, everything else is just gravy....xoxo

Watch Out!

I've been asked quite a bit lately about watches.  What's the trend now?  Where's the trend going? and What's the best classic watch?  Honestly, I answer all of these questions with a question...What do you like?  Watches are a very personal accessory, and along with that can be an expensive endeavor.

Taking your personal style into consideration is a must.  How do you intend to wear the watch?  Layered with other bracelets or bangles?  Are you more classic or "funky"?  Are you more feminine or masculine?  All of these questions should be answered before you decide to drop any amount of money on a watch.  Regardless of price you want to happy with your decision and have it be a reflection of your personality.  Good luck! xoxo

Glowing Skin

With winter in full swing and the east coast getting pounded by the worst weather ever, it's hard to see that spring is officially only 6 weeks away.  Here on the west coast we've had beautiful days, but extremely dry, low humidity temps .  Not really the ideal scenario for healthy looking skin.  I came across two products that have helped alleviate dry, flakey, raisin face smiles.  Both of these products are highly coveted by make up artists and models.  I was told that models use them as their "secret" weapons.  I don't know about all that, but I do know that they worked for me and held their promises to keeping my skin moisturized and glowing.

Both product are from YSL.  YSL, on a whole, is known for their innovated skin care.  This is a piece of information that i've just recently learned.  Many skin care lines copy and distribute their versions of products that YSL puts out.

The first product is the  Non-Granule Exfoliator.  It truly is amazing.  You put it on your skin dry, allow it to emulsify then rinse off with water.  The results are truly worth the $44 price tag.  Your skin is left glowing and moisturized.

The second is the 3 in 1 cleansing water.  This product is truly unique.  Many times skin is over cleansed,  which strips our natural oils.  The cleansing water is a cleanser, toner and balancer all in one.  It is best used in the morning, but can also be used before bed.  All you do is squirt some water on a cotton ball and apply to the face.  That's it!  Then apply your normal make up routine.

Of course water and sleep is still the best remedy for lack luster skin, but a little product can be a savior...xoxo
