On Thursday April 29th I had the privilege of attending the 2nd annual IAVA (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America) red carpet event at CAA (Creative Artist Agency). It was an amazing fundraiser hosted by Cameron Diaz to benefit returning veterans who are re-entering society. This organization helps these soldiers make their acclimation as seamless as possible offering them tools to become active, healthy members of society.
I was so humbled and proud to be a part of this event. The work and the sacrifice that these soldiers make often goes overlooked. Not because we're not aware, but because life moves at such a fast pace we sometimes forget to stop and look at what really is going on around us. It's because of these amazing men and women that I (we) have the freedom to blog and walk the streets conveying our own individualities. And for that I'm extremely greatful.
