Always a Classic

In the midst of all the amazing color we've seen and continue to see, evident in all of the Spring 2012 fashion shows, I find a camel colored pallet so incredibly chic.  I love it worn with leopard, a pop of red or even monochromatically with a bit of fur.  Color may come and go as a trend, but a neutral item is always a classic.  xoxo

Fenton Spring 2012

The Spring 2012 Fenton show, designed by Dana Lorenz, had some really incredible statement pieces.  She uses bold colors and stones such as turquoise and coral to bring together strong silhouettes with an undeniable femininity.  The crystals, pearls and gold plate metals make it easy to dress up or down, and one things for sure, you won't go unnoticed.  xoxo

P.S.  As I write about something so trivial as fashion during this time of remembrance of the 9/11 attacks, I can't help but feel so blessed to have the freedom to express my individualtiy.  May we never forget the tragedy that happened 10 years ago, but that we always looks to the future with love and hope.

Missoni for Target

Earlier this week there was a private launch party for Missoni for Target in NYC.  Judging by the empty shelves that were left after the event, when the collection hits on September 13th, it's surely to sell out within hours.  Missoni is offering some really cute home accessories as well as make-up bags and adorable sweaters.  They've done a great job offering the Missoni style at very affordable prices.  Hope you get lucky! xoxo

NYFW Survival Guide

New York Fashion week is in full swing.  The next 8 days is a whirlwind of amazing shows, fabulous parties, fashion editors, bloggers and stylists all excitedly waiting for what's next.  It's exhausting and exhilarating all the at the same time.  Being prepared and having a survival guide always helps ease the chaos that is transpiring.  Even though the day ends falling heavily into bed the excitement of what's to come makes it difficult to unwind.  xoxo

Endless Summer

Labor day marks the unofficial end of Summer.  The longer nights are slowly fading and we start wanting to reach for sweaters to shield us from the cool breeze arising.  Transitioning from Summer to Fall can sometimes be tricky.  We're not completely ready give up the laid back rags but the change in seasons is undeniable.  Layering up is key during this time.  Shorts with booties, short dresses with leggings and maxi's with leather are always good options when working towards the change.  But let's not get ahead of ourselves, enjoy today...Happy Labor Day! xoxo

3rd Annual FNO!

On Sept 8th the 3rd annual, Fashions Night Out takes place.  This is a great event of shopping, parties and carefree fun.  Cities all over the world take part in celebrating the excitement of what fashion is.  In 2009 a partnership between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the City of New York all came together to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence and boost the industry's economy.  This event has kept growing through out the last 3 years, and this year is set to be even bigger.

What makes this year more exciting is that they're offering online participation by many fashion "e-tailers".  Everyone from Bergdorf's to JBrand are offering online accessibility.  So even if you're not able to make the event you can still be a part.  The official FNO apparel is available on the FNO website and 40% of the proceeds benefit The New York City AIDS Fund.  Not only is it a night of shopping but it's also an excuse to give back.  xoxo
